Took initiative for establishing MOU between University of Ghent with the able cooperation of Professor Guido and South Asian University UAS Bangalore. Motivated students from rural areas of Agricultural Universities including women students belonging to socially and economically disadvantaged groups, by informing them about IMRD, suggesting them proposal topics, correcting their proposals, helping them writing motivation letters, which paved the way for at least 25 students from South Asia to obtain IMRD with Erasmus Mundus scholarship on competitive basis. Atleast 11 are also pursuing PhD program in EU with funding from DAAD, VLIR and other sources. At least six of them got the Great Distinction award of IMRD. Also successfully organized the session on natural resource economics involving all the IMRD-EM scholars at the August 2008 European Association of Agricultural Economics Conference at Ghent, Belgium.
Participated as IMRD-EM visiting scholar at University of Ghent and Humboldt Univ of Berlin during 2008, by giving seminars, valuing seminar presentations of IMRD students, giving comments in their presentations, Univ of Ghent and participating in FOKO, and MAKO in natural resource economics and institutional economics at HUB.
